A group of Bridlington veterans have a new charity venture.

Following last year’s successful “Private on Parade” calendar in aid of Parkinson’s UK which raised almost £9,000, this year the Bridlington Veterans Coffee Morning Group are releasing a 24 track CD, featuring cover versions of well-loved songs.

Mike Rubery, a spokesman from the group, explained; “Eclectic is the word as we cover everything from rock, pop, crooners, country and musicals.
“The sales from the CD will be in aid of the Alzheimer’s Society and every penny raised will go to this great cause. Dementia has affected almost every family in the UK and at present a few of our members are struggling with the condition.”

Last year, the group hit the headlines worldwide and made TV appearances after creating a cheeky calendar, which featured some of the club members baring (almost) all for a charity calendar.
After the story was revealed exclusively by the Bridlington Echo, other news organisation followed up the article which led to national press and appearances on GMTV from their London studios.

The calendar was so successful it was reprinted again after sales surpassed all expectations.
Release date for the CD entitled From Heroes to Rockstars is set for mid July 2024 price will be £10 available solely from BVCM group.
