A Bridlington resident who wrote poetry and her thoughts down on
paper to cope with her grief after her mother died in 2010 has had a book published.

Kath Gallagher (69), had her book ‘As I Think of You’ printed, outlining the journey of her grief when she lost her mum.
Kath’s mum Isabella Gallagher sadly passed away at the age of 76 after battle with cancer and Kath started writing notes and poems 6 months after her mother died to help to deal
with the loss.

Consisting of short chapters and poems, Kath was urged to get everything together and publish a book by Kate Batten from the New Pasture Lane Community Centre who has also written book herself.
The book is available on Amazon and also at the New Pasture Lane centre priced at £10, with proceeds going to Marie Curie Cancer Care who helped with Kath’s mum care.

Said Kath: “I would like to thank Kate and Abi for their encouragement and support and without their intervention and encouragement it wouldn’t
have happened.”
The books are available to purchase from the New Pasture Lane Community Centre and at Brigham’s on St John Street in Bridlington.
