Bridlington’s own groove metal group L.O.C are proving that ‘big sounds can come from small towns,’after landing major international press with the release of their first professional music video.
On January 16th, 2026, the band unveiled the official video for their single “Step To Me”, taken from their debut EP The Ultimate Karma.
Within hours, the release caught the attention of legendary rock magazine Kerrang, who featured L.O.C on the front page of their website and newsletter, putting the Bridlington outfit firmly on the global metal map.
Describing the band as “getting their zombie on,” Kerrang praised the track’s crushing sound and cinematic visuals, noting the gory, horror-themed twist that unfolds throughout the video.
“If you don’t know who L.O.C are now, you soon will,” said vocalist and guitarist Adam Towse.
The video was shot and produced by Shaun Hodson of Loki Films, a director known across the metal scene for his dark, horror-inspired work. His résumé includes some of the biggest modern metal music videos, making the collaboration a major step forward for the Bridlington-based band.
Musically, Step To Me packs a heavy punch. The track was produced and mixed by renowned studio legend Colin Richardson, whose past credits include Machine Head, Bullet For My Valentine and Trivium. The result is a drop-tuned, groove-metal sledgehammer that matches its blood-soaked visuals beat for beat.
With its mix of brutal riffs, cinematic storytelling and infectious energy, the video is already helping L.O.C reach new audiences far beyond Bridlington and East Yorkshire.
