Unseasonably bad weather in the Bridlington area has wreaked havoc over the last 24 hours, with many roads deluged with floodwater due to heavy incessant, rain and trees damaged by high winds.

A tree was uprooted overnight near to Sewerby Court in Bridlington and motorists are being urged to drive with caution due to standing flood water and branches or trees that have been blown over.
Farmers in the area have also been hit by the stormy weather, causing many acres of the grain crops to blow over.

The heavy rain has also left the crops in harvestable due to the moisture content and many are hoping for a break in the downpours to enable the fields to dry out for harvesting.
