It has been confirmed that Bridlington town and county councillor Liam Dealtry has been voted in as Chairman of ERYC for the next 12 months.

He succeeds Cllr Linda Bayram, who handed over the chain of office to Liam today (17 May) at County Hall in Beverley.

Liam’s consort will be his wife Michelle. His chosen charities will be MASH (Military Assistance Social Hub) and SSAFA Leconfield, both which help veterans and their families.

Liam is a well known figure in Bridlington and has served as Mayor for Bridlington Town Council on a record five occasions over the last two decades.

Said Liam: “Today I was lucky enough to get elected to be Chairman of the East Riding of Yorkshire council. I must thank all my fellow Councillors who voted for me.

“In the past Ihave had the highest honour to be Mayor of my home town and now I get the ultimate privilege to represent my home county at the highest level.
