Local Youth Drama groups Sparklers Drama and Migrant Theatre are performing in the first round of the All England Theatre Festival at Bridlington Spa Theatre on Saturday March 9th.

Sparklers will be presenting a matinee performance of ‘The Willow Pattern Story’ based on the well known blue and white crockery of the same name.
Migrant Theatre’s play ‘Sisters’ – a mask, music and mime piece – takes to the stage as part of the evening session.

The All England Theatre Festival is a nationwide, one-act play competition with the winner of the Bridlington round going on to compete in further rounds.
All entries will be scored by Sue Doherty who is a professional GoDA adjudicator.

The other two entries in this round are both adult groups. Dewsbury Arts Group will present an afternoon performance of ‘Aa! Ha!’ – a light hearted farce and Scarborough’s Cresta A.D.S. will close the evening session with ‘But the Tigers Come at Night’ – a thought provoking piece set in a bereavement support meeting.
Tickets for the matinee and evenings sessions are available from the Bridlington Spa box office with a discount offer for those wishing to attend both sessions.
