Coastguard and RNLI help injured man at North Landing

A callout to Flamborough North Landing saw the Coastguard Rescue Team and the village lifeboat work together to evacuate an injured person from the rocks at the beauty spot.

Here are the details:

Flamborough RNLI launched on service yesterday (Sunday 28 August) at 1:50pm tasked by HM Coastguard to Robin Lythes cave at North Landing, where a person had fallen, injuring an ankle.

Lifeboat with volunteer crew were on scene at 1:58pm where the casualty was assessed and taken on board.

Casualty was brought back to RNLI Lifeboat Station arriving at 2:40pm. Casualty was taken to hospital by family.

Volunteer crew and shore crew cleaned refuelled and prepared the lifeboat and tractor for the next service.
