Pupils at Burlington Junior School in Bridlington have unveiled a colourful mural to celebrate the 100th birthday of legendary broadcaster and naturalist Dir David Attenborough.
Youngsters worked together on the artwork, which features animals from around the world, oceans, rainforests and scenes inspired by Attenborough’s famous wildlife programmes.
Teacher Mr Matthew Clark said the mural was designed to highlight the importance of protecting nature and caring for the planet.
Sir David, who was born in 1926 and celebrated his century on Friday 7 May, is best known for landmark BBC series including Planet Earth and Blue Planet.
His documentaries have inspired generations to learn more about wildlife and climate change.
Parents and visitors praised the pupils’ creativity, calling the mural a “fantastic tribute” to the much-loved presenter.
