The family of a Bridlington man who sadly died in a car accident last month have paid heartfelt tributes to him and announced the route for his funeral cortege which will take place this Friday (19th February) starting at 9.45.am.

Twenty three-year-old Harry Thomas has been described as ‘simply the best’ by his partner Hollie-May Kinder. And his mum Amanda Ibbotson also described her son as ‘a cheeky, loveable and one-of-a-kind young lad.’

His family have asked for his friends and colleagues to pay tribute by lining the funeral route that will take the cortege around Bridlington calling as a tribute the places Harry enjoyed visiting and playing football.

The cortege will leave from Jubilee Avenue at 9.45am on Friday 19th February and take the following route: Sewerby Road, Fortyfoot, Queensgate, Bridlington Town Football Club, left on to Quay Road, Station Avenue, right turn to Bessingby Road, right run to Bessingby Hill and passing the perimeter of the CYP football grounds, and then left at Easton Road and ongoing to Octon.

Unfortunately due to restrictions imposed only family and invited friends are allowed to the funeral service at Octon.

In a joint statement the family added: “We would like to invite all who had the pleasure of knowing Harry to line the streets to give our amazing boy the best send off possible. Let’s celebrate Harry’s Life and truly show just how much our beautiful boy is, and always will be loved.”

Harry leaves partner a Hollie-May along with his children Eden Thomas and Teddy Staveley, mum Amanda Ibbotson and stepdad Phillip Ibbotson, dad Andrew Thomas and step-mum April Coates, and siblings Dylan, Finlay and Natasha Thomas, Spencer Goodacre, Trinity and Anya Ibbotson.

Harry was a former pupil at Headlands school and worked as a joiner for CB Solutions, based at Lissett. He was also a member of Bridlington Rovers Football Club and several locally-based junior soccer clubs.

A JustGiving page is still open for donations which has helped to fund the funeral and support Harry’s family. The link is: https://www.justgiving.com/crowdfunding/april-price-coates-1?utm_id=102&utm_term=JDGW7YezW
