The council’s Health and Wellbeing Group, in partnership with England Netball’s Humber Development Officer Olivia Park, are launching a new walking netball session starting on Monday, 26 September from 11.00am-12.00 noon at East Riding Leisure Bridlington.

The weekly sessions cost just £2.80. There is no need to book on the first week – attendees should just turn up 15 minutes early to register.

The sessions are aimed at ladies aged 50+ who used to play netball or would like to try fun organised walking netball activities and games. Sessions accommodate various fitness levels, providing low to mid intensity matches, and are ideal for those who haven’t played for a long time or would just like to get a bit fitter and meet new friends.

In addition to the sessions, the social side is very important, too. As well as the netball teams, the ladies have set up other social groups such as a darts team, and groups regularly organise meals out and trips away, In addition, last year, 13 ladies went to see the England Netball team play in Nottingham.

For further information, please contact Michelle Leach on 07929 773575 email michelle.leach@eastriding.gov.uk or Olivia Park: olivia.park@englandnetball.co.uk
