With many people from Bridlington and the surrounding area attending the North’s biggest one day show, organisers have revealed what is happening this year at the showground.

On Wednesday 19th July the vast range of activities, displays, educational content and demonstrations will suit all ages.
Driffield Show will celebrate its 147th year recognising the traditional and embracing the future.

And this year a royal visitor will be in attendance. The Driffield Agricultural Society are honoured to be able to announce that Her Royal Highness, the Duchess of Edinburgh, who was elected as the Society’s President in February will be attending the 2023 Driffield Show.
David Tite, Chief Executive Officer of the Driffield Agricultural Society said ‘everyone involved with the Society and the Driffield Show are delighted and extremely honoured that the Duchess will be joining us for the 147th Driffield Show. The Duchess is a great supporter of the agricultural show industry and we are very much looking forward to Her Royal Highness being with us on the day’.

The show continues to be popular with Livestock exhibitors and attracts some of the areas finest animals including cattle, sheep and pigs.

There will be a return of the crowds favourite Heavy Horse classes around the Main Ring as well as local ridden ponies to the show jumping classes.
Another crowd favourite the Dog Show will take place – maybe your dog has the waggiest tail or the kindest eyes – why not enter it to find out?

Showcasing the cutting edge innovations in agriculture, the Show will continue to have ‘something for everyone’ with plenty of opportunity for retail therapy. Over 300 trade stands will be available to choose from, ranging from lifestyle and fashion, to rural crafts and local produce.
New for 2023 is the return of the Food Theatre with its crammed timetable featuring local chefs and local producers. Whilst the Horticulture Marquee will also be providing visitors with a colourful contribution and in the Gardeners’ Theatre visitors will be able to take a seat and watch the horticulture demonstrations taking place throughout the day.

Entertainment comes in the form of JC Balls Dancing Diggers, stunt displays of Dangerous Steve and the Yorkshire Flyballers together with the crowd favourite – a mascot race.
Free car parking and a free shuttle bus will be provided between Driffield Town Centre and the Showground operating throughout the day. The Shuttle bus connects at Driffield Railway Station and as a further incentive, anyone who travels to the Show by train receives £1 discount off the Show’s admission. Show your ticket at the Showground when purchasing your ticket on the gate.

Entry tickets, when bought in advance, have been reduced and entry for accompanied children under the age of 16 is free with adult entry priced at £16. Prices increase to £20 on the day.
