Over sixty beautifully decorated Christmas trees lit up St John’s Burlington (SJB) Methodist Church during the run up to Christmas.
Organised by the SJB Volunteers and Sewerby Women’s Institute, this was the ninth Christmas Tree Festival to be held at the St John’s Street church.
Hundreds of visitors viewed the stunning tree displays which consisted of over 60 carefully decorated Christmas trees which were donated and sponsored by local charities, organisations and businesses.
Choirs and singers provided plenty oflive musical entertainment throughout the event which started on 1st December.
SJB volunteers were also on hand to kept the refreshments flowing producing drinks, meals and snacks throughout the near three week long even which was raising funds for Alzheimers U.K.
Dave Wilcockson from SJB and Maria Prchlik from Sewerby WI wish to sincerely thank all the volunteers, tree exhibitors, sponsors, entertainers, schools and visitors who made the event a resounding success.
*Bridlington’s favourite tree, as voted by visitors to the Christmas Tree Festival at St John’s church has been announced.
The fabulous winning fir was decorated by the children of New Pasture Lane Primary School. Well done everyone.
