Residents of Bridlington were left in festive dismay this week as the beloved Christmas tree lights buckled under the pressure of holiday spirit, going mysteriously dark for the last few evenings.
In a festive turn of humour, the Bridlington Town Council graciously thanked concerned locals for alerting them and revealed that the lighting team of contractors is currently rummaging for 50p coins to restart the energy-hungry display.
The good news is that the festive illuminations are expected to shine today (28th November) from 3:30 PM to midnight daily.
On a serious note, locals are urged to report any further lighting malfunctions to the Bridlington Town Council at 2A Marshall Avenue or via phone at 01262 409006, during business hours.
