Community groups and organisations in the East Wolds and Coastal Ward are being invited to apply for grants from the Lissett Wind Farm Community Fund.

Applications can be made by organisations such as community groups, parish councils, schools and faith-based groups for projects that are of public benefit including charitable, educational, and not-for-profit activities.

The fund receives an annual donation of over £90,000 from the wind farm’s operating company, Ventient. An independent decision-making panel, comprising of local representatives from parishes within the area, and facilitated by East Riding of Yorkshire Council, assesses applications and award grants.

In the past, the fund has supported a wide range of projects from local community buildings to sports clubs and youth groups.
