Two Bridlington volunteers have been recognised for their long service in fundraising for the RNLI.
Peter Howard and Tony Whitton have been dedicated volunteers at the RNLI shop on King Street in Bridlington for over ten years and have been officially recognise by the charity that ‘Saves Lives at Sea.’

RNLI Community Manager Amy Baker visited the King Street shop to hand over certificates of recognition and thanked to the two RNLI volunteers for their unstinting work in the store where they have become familiar figures to the thousands of visitors over the years.
As well as volunteering at the King Street branch, the duo also support fundraising at the Bridlington Lifeboat Station shop on South Marine Drive. They are often seen at the many events that are organised by the local RNLI such as the Open Days and station tours.

Amy said: “The RNLI recognise their hard work and continued support. They do a brilliant job in welcoming people to the shop, giving amazing customer service and raising vital funds for the RNLI.”
