A summer Open Day is planned for the East Riding Crematorium this June.
The event is being held on Saturday 22nd June, with opening times between 10am and 2pm.

All areas of the crematorium will be open and accessible for guided tours.
The memorial gardens will be a blaze of colour for everyone to enjoy and visitors are welcome to walk around the stunning grounds .
Crematorium manager Jonathan Spalding explained: “As well as the open day, this year we will be fundraising for the Little Princess Trust.

“This is a charity we have worked with previously who make hair pieces and wigs for children who have lost their hair due to cancer.
“Charlotte – our office supervisor – is looking for sponsorship as she will be having her long hair cut off and donating it to the trust and raising much-needed funds for this brilliant charity.”

Added Jonathan: “We look forward to seeing visitors during the day and staff will be on hand to answer any questions anyone may have and hopefully dispel some myths around the cremation process.”
