A walking pilgrimage will take place this Sunday, calling at four of the headland parish churches.
The ten-mile journey begins at 9.30am on 20th July at St Peter’s Reighton, travels to St Leonard’s Speeton, then on to St Michael’s at Bempton and finally finishes with a service of Holy Communion at St Oswald’s Flamborough.
The trip can be undertaken on foot, by car or a mixture of the two, or just part of the walk or a service that stops at one of the churches.
A spokesman for the pilgrimage said: “Please be realistic about what you know can be accomplish on foot. Lunch will not be until 1.30 pm, take a bit of something to eat on the way, plenty of water and protection from any sun or rain we might experience. Because of uncertainty about this year’s Covid-19 restrictions please can each person brings their own packed lunch for eating at Bempton. These can be transported by car from Reighton to Bempton if you wish. “
