A man who died outside an address on First Avenue in Bridlington earlier this week has today been named by his family as 25-year-old Ibrahim Yesildeniz (pictured below).

Police were called to the address at around 5.20am on Monday, 10 August 2026, following reports of a stabbing, where Ibrahim was taken to hospital for treatment to life threatening injuries, and sadly later died in hospital.

Ibrahim’s family are being supported by specially trained officers and they have asked for privacy at this incredibly difficult time.

Mehmet Gundez, 24-years-old, of Bridlington, who identifies himself as Turkish, has been charged with murder in connection with Ibrahim’s death and has been remanded into custody to appear at Hull Magistrates Court this morning (Wednesday, 12 August 2026).
