Porsche Club Great Britain have announced two exciting events to take place in Bridlington this year, with Porsches on the Prom in April and Icons of Cool in July.

Porsches on the Prom is taking place on Sunday, 16 April on the seafront between Bridlington Spa and the RNLI Boathouse.

From 11am you’ll have the chance to get up close and personal with some of the most impressive cars around. From vintage classics to sleek modern sports cars, there will be something for everyone.

Each Porsche owner displaying on the day has paid a £5 entry fee which will be donated to the Bridlington RNLI.

July sees the R7 Yorkshire Porsche Festival taking place at Sewerby Hall and Gardens on Sunday, 9 July.

Generously supported by Porsche Centre Hull, who are delighted to host a Porsche Exclusive Manufaktur event, the day will celebrate Porsche Icons of Cool and pays homage to the heritage, design and style of the 1960s and early 1970s.

In addition to the displays of Icons of Cool and a Concours competition, there will be a wide range of food vendors and refreshments.

There will be entertainment throughout the day, headlined by Cinco Magic, who will play several sets during the day, all with a 60s theme.

There will also be a selection of activities for mini-Porsche fans, which include a range of creative activities to keep children entertained. There will be a selfie booth with prizes donated by Porsche Centre Hull for the best 60’s themed costume.

Sewerby Hall and Gardens, which is open to visitors all year round, is set in fifty acres of early 19th Century parkland with magnificent gardens and includes a zoo. During your visit, the house will feature the Natural History Museum’s Wildlife Photographer of the Year exhibition.

Alex Crutchley, the council’s destinations group manager, said: “It’s been a fantastic opportunity working with Porsche Club Great Britain, R7 Yorkshire Porsche and Porsche Centre Hull. These are two really exciting events that will give residents and visitors to Bridlington the opportunity to get up close and personal with some of the finest cars from the past up to the modern day.

“The event in Sewerby also ties in with the exhibition run of Wildlife Photographer of the Year, which gives our customers two prestigious events for the price of one and makes for a superb family day out”.

The event is free to Sewerby Hall and Gardens annual pass holders. Otherwise, usual visitor fees apply.
