Schools Rocks – Remarkable Arts – Christ Church – Saturday 16th March, 11am, 1pm & 3:30pm – Tickets £6, ages 16 & under free

This March, Christ Church in Bridlington will be alive with the voices of over 700 local school children, performing with Schools Rock, a music initiative by Bridlington based Remarkable Arts.

As part of Schools Rock two lucky Primary schools received 3 months of free music sessions, and now have a concert day to look forward to. The young people of Bay and New Pasture Lane Primary schools have learnt sign language and singing, and they’re very excited to share everything they’ve worked so hard on, as they perform alongside a live band of professional musicians.

This year Schools Rock features 3 one-hour concerts, at Christ Church, Brid, on Saturday 16th of March – with New Pasture Lane at 11am, and Bay at 1pm & 3:30pm.

Tickets are just £6 and children aged 16 & under are free.

Mark Howley, from Remarkable Arts, “This is the culmination of a lot of hard work – and fun – after 3 months of working with nearly 1,000 young people.

“We expect around 700 of them to be performing with us across the 3 concerts on the day, and we can’t wait to share it with you. It’s been an amazing experience getting to know the students and staff of both schools, who have all been really invested in the project.

“We expect there to be lots of parents and guardians in attendance, but we also appeal to the wider community to give an hour of your time, and six quid of your money, to support something unique going on in your town. We fund this project entirely – we know that school budgets are often impossibly stretched, and that lots of kids can’t afford private music tuition at this time, and this is entirely free to the schools & students. So, if you buy a ticket, you’re ensuring we can work with thousands more of Bridlington’s fantastic young people in the future. And we guarantee you’ll have a great time!”

Parents/guardians from New Pasture Lane can get tickets directly from the school, and members of the public who want to buy tickets for New Pasture Lane at 11am, can contact Remarkable on 07943 276496.
