Bridlington boxing sensation Emily Asquith has once again demonstrated her prowess in the boxing ring and has brought home yet another title for England.
Emily, 20, took part in the 2023 Nations Cup competition which was held in Sombor, Serbia and
brought back yet another gold medal to add to her already impressive tally.

After a long period of time out of boxing due to Covid restrictions, Emily – who is member of Bridlington Boxing Club (BBC) and trains at the CYP on Gypsey Road – shone through in her contest
beating her opponent Reka Hoffmann, from Hungary in the Senior Over 81kg section.
Damien Grant, who coaches Emily at the CYP, said: “It’s been great to see Emily back competing again. Due to a lack of opposition nationally it’s been the first chance she has had to compete since pre -covid.

“With Emily now at university in Sheffield, it’s given her a great opportunity to spend more time at the home of England Boxing which is located at the EIS in Sheffield. Emily jumped at the opportunity to head back over to Serbia.

“She looked like she had not been out the ring at all and boxed very well in her final. Everyone at the club is proud to see her achieving yet another gold medal as she now goes 20 contests in a row without defeat.”
