Musical members of a Bridlington veterans group have handed over a huge amount of money to charity after a music CD they recorded hit the right
notes.
Bridlington Veterans Coffee Morning Group recorded a bespoke CD of karaoke favourites of well known songs in aid of the Alzheimer’s Society (AS) with all proceeds going to the charity and no fees for production, publicity and marketing.
The final cheque, which totalled an impressive £6,535, was handed over at the Apollo pub in Bridlington during
a special ceremony with the singers, producers and those who helped to create the CD in attendance.
Pictured are all the veterans featured on the disc, with Julie Henderson (Regional Fundraiser for North Yorkshire, Hull and East Yorkshire Alzheimer’s Society) and Mickey Rousseau (CD producer and recording engineer).
Also helping with the CD design and publicity was graphic designer Graham
Ambler and Ian Ellis who took the images.
