Do you know the security guard involved…?
A Bridlington woman has praised the actions of a security guard after he paid for the shopping of an elderly lady who had her credit card declined.
Sarah-Louise Egan was shopping in Morrison’s on Bessingby Way in Bridlington when she witnessed ‘a random act of kindness.’

Said Louise: “There was an old lady in front of me she couldn’t get her card to work to pay for her shopping, so she tried another card and she got the pin wrong after several attempts with the two different cards.
“The security guard called Mike came over and guess what he did…?
“He paid for her £46 shopping bill out of his own pocket.
“The lady didn’t quite understand – I think she walked out thinking the card had finally worked and she had paid but it was actually the security guard.
“What a nice thing to do it restores your faith in humanity.
“I asked for the manager and told her about his kind gesture as I felt it would go unrecognised as the lady didn’t understand.
“I felt he needed recognition for his kind actions, he actually thanked me for telling the manager – when actually he’s the one that needs thanking.
“I just wanted to share and if anyone knows him tell him what an amazing act of kindness that was.”
