Recently, Mike’s good friend Ian Ellis received a diagnosis of prostate cancer and just a few weeks ago he started chemotherapy as part of his treatment.

In a remarkable show of support Ian has chosen to shave his head to support York Against Cancer.

Inspired by Ian’s bravery, Mike has pledged to join him in to help fundraise

The head-shaving event is set for 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, 19th July 2025, at Richie’s Cafe-bar.

Said Mike: “If you’re feeling generous and would like to contribute, you can make a donation to help support this worthy cause.

“This is to keep things straightforward and ensure that more funds go directly to the charity.” added Mike.

Ian and Mike hope to see a good turnout at the weekend and if anyone else is keen to shave their head for Ian’s charity, please don’t hesitate to get in touch.

Mike is collecting donations on behalf of both himself and Ian, avoiding any online fees.

Said Mike: “Let’s rally together for this important cause!”
