After years of working as a restauranteur, running a health and beauty academy and building up a chain of successful clothing and shoe shops from scratch, a Bridlington businesswoman has penned her first book on her life.

Angela Langton, who now owns the Angela Bare shops in Bridlington and York has written a book on the highs and lows of starting and running businesses and about her life.

In a ’no holds-barred’ account of the good, bad and sometimes very ugly parts of business and commerce, Angela also highlights the good in some people and how she has got through 25 years of business.

“Have you ever listened to someone’s story and thought – can all this happen to one person? Well that’s me.” explained Angela.

“My life in business has been one huge roller coaster ride. From the ups and downs self employment has brought me – when all said and done I wouldn’t change it for the world.”

Angela, who has won several awards for her businesses and also her charity work over the years, she grew up helping her father who was a well-known trader on Bridlington market.

“This is not a self help guide, this is the reality of things that can and do go drastically wrong in the world of business and trust me I have had everything thrown at me.”Angela continued.

Her book is aptly entitled F***-ups and Bust ups – The trials and tribulations of running a business and is written under her pen name of Angela Bare.

The autobiography has already had hundreds of people registering to buy the book, with many asking for signed copies which are now available.
And after this book, Angela is already in the process of writing her second book.

“My dream to retire to the island of Capri back to my Italian family roots. My next five years is all about that dream.”said Angela.
