Flamborough Flowerpot Festival volunteers have again been busy with ‘Team Potty’ organising a total of three adult Potty Craft Workshops, plus one for the local children at the WI Hall.

The 2024 Festival will be held in the village throughout the month of June.

The sessions were well attended and many ideas were shared and Potty creations made. The sessions were free and all crafting materials was provided. Thanks to local inspirational model makers for hosting, the Ladies of the WI and Reighton Nurseries for giving the group 100’s of pots.

There will also be Potty Craft session for the Flamborough Rainbows, Brownies and Guides in May.

In April the group posted entry forms to every home in Flamborough and really hope to have more entries again this year.

Said Julie Sanders from the group: “We have held two quiz nights at the Victoria Club which have been well attended and great fun. We have a special May Bank Holiday Quiz on the 6th when Bridbeat Charity Singers will be helping us raise funds for the local school and Brownies. Non-members are welcome to our quiz nights so please come along and join in the Potty Fun!”

The committee will also be running stall at the local May Day events in the village and will be handing out free plant pots and selling festival fridge magnets and badges.

“We will also be having a regular stall at Haven, Thornwick Bay Holiday Village and outside the Caravell Bar at North Landing Flamborough during the Festival month of June. Haven have been very supportive of the Flower Pot Festival in so many ways and we really appreciate their support to make our event successful.”
