Food lovers are being encouraged to head into Bridlington town centre today (Sunday, July 26) as the ever-popular Bridlington Food Festival returns to King Street Market with a mouth-watering selection of local food and drink producers.

The monthly event, which has become one of the highlights of the town’s market calendar, brings together dozens of artisan traders and independent businesses from across East Yorkshire and beyond, offering visitors the chance to sample and buy a wide range of quality produce.

Shoppers can expect stalls packed with locally produced cheeses, freshly baked breads, handmade cakes, pies, preserves, artisan chocolates, sweet treats, speciality sauces, fresh produce and a variety of street food, alongside local beers, spirits and other refreshments.

The Food Festival has earned a reputation for creating a vibrant atmosphere in the heart of Bridlington, with visitors travelling from across the region to enjoy the market and support local businesses. Dozens of food and drink stalls regularly line King Street during festival days, complementing the town’s traditional market and nearby independent shops.

Organised by Angela Langton and Julie Boyes, the monthly festivals have helped transform King Street into one of the East Yorkshire coast’s most popular food destinations, attracting thousands of visitors throughout the year.

Today’s market is open throughout the day, although visitors are advised to arrive early as many of the most popular traders are expected to sell out before the official finish.

Whether you’re looking for ingredients for a Sunday lunch, a unique foodie gift or simply fancy sampling some delicious local produce, there will be plenty to tempt every taste.
