The Bayle Museum opened for the 2026 season on 30 March 2026 with a new exhibition entitled Curious Collections.

Inspired by the old fashioned “cabinet of curiosities” this carefully curated
exhibition includes an intriguing variety of objects that bring history, mystery and discovery together.
A spokesperson for the Bayle explained: “Each object tells a story, – of love, of conflict, of craftsmanship and of the people who came before us.”

The Bayle, a Grade I listed Building and scheduled Ancient Monument, has
housed the Bayle Museum since 1928.
The museum’s collection is focused on
local history and heritage, including objects connected to Bridlington’s civic,
social and maritime history.
Permanent exhibits include the Military Room, the Kidcote and the Victorian Kitchen.
Admission to the Bayle Museum is free as the Lords Feoffees directs significant
funding to the museum to ensure that cost is not a barrier to engaging with
local history.
The Bayle Museum is open Monday to Friday between 11am and 4pm (last
entry 3.30pm) from 30 March 2026 until 30 October 2026.
