Members of Andy’s Man Club Bridlington branch spent a day at Bridlington Morrisons helping to spread awareness about the club and also putting over the message that… it’s okay to talk.
The Bridlington group meets at the Bridlington Town Clubhouse on Queensgate and all men are more that welcome to call in.

Andy’s man club has over 100 free support groups nationwide, running every Monday from 7pm- except bank holidays.

A spokesman for the Bridlington group explained: “In these groups, men can open up about the storms affecting their lives in a safe, judgement-free and non-clinical environment.

“Our clubs are designed to be free of pressure, there is no obligation for men to speak, they can simply listen if they wish.
“With over 1800 men using our sessions every week, and an army of 500 volunteers on board, the movement is continuing to grow week-by-week.
“We firmly believe in the power of talking and that #ItsOkayToTalk.”

Established in 2016 by Elaine, Andy’s Mum, and Luke, Andy’s Brother-in-Law, the aim of the club is to provide men with a safe space where they feel comfortable to talk and open up about their experiences in a room free of judgment.

What is Andy’s Man Club?
‘Andy Roberts was loving and doting father, son, brother, grandson, nephew, cousin and friend.
He was an all round top guy, one of the truly nicest people. His love for his daughter was inspirational to see and the way he looked at her and idolised her was a blessing.
Sadly and tragically without any warning Andrew, at 23 years old, was taken away from all his family and friends by suicide.
On average one man every two hours takes his life in the UK. It’s often said a factor is that men don’t talk. Thats why we were born to break down these stigmas.
At ANDY’SMANCLUB you don’t have to be suicidal or have a mental health problem, we just want to get men talking.’

The Bridlington group is held every Monday evening from 7pm at Bridlington Town’s Town Bar on Queensgate.
