The Bridlington Coastguard Team was called out late last night to reports of a small craft beached on the sands just below the station on Limekiln Lane.

After the call was made for assistance, the Bridlington team had what will be one of their shortest journeys to an incident, a distance of around 50 metres from the Coastguard HQ.

A spokesman for the BCRT said: “The team assisted the occupant of the craft with pushing the trailer up from the beach and out of the way of the tide.”
