A charity which supports the Armed Forces community in Bridlington and its surrounding areas has received a donation from Yorkshire Building Society Charitable Foundation after it was nominated by colleagues from the Bridlington branch.
Military Assistance Social Hub (M.A.S.H) received a £2,500 donation from Yorkshire Building Society Charitable Foundation to help it support the setup and running of its new Armed Forces Community Connection Point based in Bridlington, which will enable members of the Armed Forces community to access immediate support through M.A.S.H and its specialist support partners. Open five days a week, the office will provide a safe, welcoming, and accessible environment where veterans, serving personnel, and their families can receive confidential support, guidance, and practical help, ensuring that those who serve, have served, and their families, have the support they need when they need it most.
Tracey Ibbotson a customer consultant at Yorkshire Building Society in Bridlington, said: “We are proud to be able to support M.A.S.H in our community in the Bridlington area with a donation from Yorkshire Building Society Charitable Foundation.
“M.A.S.H provides an important service to veterans, serving service personnel and their families. The team at M.A.S.H offer a range of support, advice and social opportunities that make a real impact on the Armed Forces community in our area and beyond.”
Craig Leach, Chair of M.A.S.H said: “We are really thankful for the donation from Yorkshire Building Society Charitable Foundation that will help us continue to support the Armed Forces community and their families through M.A.S.H and our specialist support partners.”
