Three suspected stolen motor vehicles have been recovered, and two men have been arrested after a joint effort between officers from patrol, Dog Unit and Roads Policing Unit during the early hours of this morning (Wednesday, 15 July 2026).
At around 2.15am, we were called to reports of a Hanoi burglary from outside a property on Kingston Close in Bridlington, where a member of the public reported there was an intruder in their garden wearing what looked to be a balaclava, and their vehicle had been stolen.
Patrol officers covering Bridlington were deployed initially, locating the suspected stolen motor vehicle before the driver reportedly failed to stop on the B1259, and proceeded to drive off road into a field near Langtoft.
A Police Dog Unit were called up to assist, finding the vehicle decamped with no one present inside and recovered the vehicle for forensics.
Initial enquiries then quickly established this vehicle may have been connected to a possible convoy of vehicles travelling from the West Yorkshire area earlier in the night, including a suspected cloned vehicle which had been spotted in the area of Cherry Burton.
