A much-loved community event in Bridlington has been cancelled this Sunday (5 April).

The popular monthly car boot sale organised by Bridlington Lions and held on Limekiln Lane Car Park, will not go ahead as planned due to unforeseen access problems at the group’s storage facility.
In a statement, a spokesperson for Bridlington Lions explained:
“There is building work at the entrance to our storage, so we have no access for loading. Hopefully this will be finished for our car boot in May. Apologies for the inconvenience.”

The cancellation comes just before the first car boot of the season, traditionally held in April and known for drawing large crowds in search of bargains, crafts, and hidden treasures.
Despite the setback, organisers remain optimistic that the issue will be resolved in time for May’s sale, when the event is expected to return to its usual lively atmosphere. Sales are held on the first Sunday of each month up to and including September.
