A Bridlington charity has opened another community food store and welfare support centre.
The Hinge charity held a launch event at the Bridlington Club for Young People (CYP) recently which welcomed over 30 individuals and also The East Riding of Yorkshire High Sherrif, Michael Rice and Bridlington’s Deputy Mayor Cllr Ray Pollard.
The Hinge @ CYP will be open Every Monday (except Bank Holidays) 9am till 4pm.
A spokesperson said: “We will be running our Community Food Store between 10am till 12noon, which allows individuals to access affordable food, both ambient and fresh/frozen. Prices are a low cost and anybody from the local area is able to access this project!
“In the afternoon, we will be offering 1-1 appointments around Employability, Budgeting, Benefit and Welfare support.”
For appointments and for some support, please ring 01262 679671 or email info@thehinge.org.uk
“The last Monday of the month, we will be holding our Warm Welcome drop in at Bridlington CYP between 10am until 12noon.
“Everybody from the local area is able to attend and drop in for toasty treats and refreshments for a £1 donation.
“This drop in allows the opportunity for people to find out what services and support we offer, the chance to meet new people and connect with other community groups/organisations.
“We are looking forward to our future collaboration with Bridlington CYP on their site and we look forward to developing our future on the site offering additional services on the Havenfield Estate area!”
