Town Mayor Cllr Liam Dealtry cut the red ribbon to officially open the newly refurbished Regal Bingo on Promenade.

Nikki Henshall and her business partner Tim Clark, staff and dignitaries, celebrated the opening of the newly refurbished bingo hall with champagne.

Tim said:“Due to Covid, the former operator closed the facility, and it has been over 16 months since club bingo was last played in Bridlington.”

“We have refurbished and re-opened this stunning venue after working here for several years and are looking forward to getting back to seeing customers play bingo, enjoy a few relaxed and fun hours, get away from everything and hopefully win some games.”

The bingo hall was once home to a former cinema, with the last film being shown in 1971.

The classic-style exterior opens up into a stunning art-deco hall, complete with beautiful murals and upstairs seating.

The club offers facilities for traditional paper bingo as well as state-of-the-art electronic games.

The club also feeds into a national bingo game twice daily, with prizes of up to £50,000 on offer.

A dedicated cafe offers hot and cold drinks, a large range of quality snacks, meals and is also fully licensed.

Nikki added, “We would love to welcome everyone that would love an afternoon or evening of bingo entertainment with full food and drink table service, and we’ve already had great support from locals and visitors that have played here before.”
