Art lovers are being invited to explore the creative heart of Bridlington as the popular Bridlington Open Studios returns over two weekends in August.
The annual event will take place on Saturday and Sunday, August 8-9, and again on Saturday and Sunday, August 15-16, giving visitors the chance to step inside artists’ studios, workshops and galleries across the town.

Now featuring 20 Bridlington-based creatives, the event celebrates the wealth of artistic talent in the area, with painters, sculptors, ceramicists, photographers, jewellers, textile artists and mixed-media creators all taking part.

Organiser Lauren Jarvis, of Mlkwood.store, said: “This is a great event to celebrate the creativity within Bridlington. We look forward to meeting visitors and locals and hope they enjoy what we have on display.”
Visitors will be able to browse original artwork, meet the artists behind the creations and purchase unique pieces directly from the people who made them.

Participating venues include Alex May Gallery, ArtyFacts, Barry Hatfield, Bridlington Arts Society at Priory Church, Bridlington Echo Gallery, Bridlington Old Town Gallery, Curiosities at the Old Chemist, Morten Gallery Annexe, Mėka, Brieze, and many more, with studios spread across Old Town, Sewerby and Bridlington.
Among the artists taking part are Chris Attlesey, James Frankish and Nicola Hinde, Jeni Jones, Laurence Uttley, Ken Shaw, Rosemary Abrahams, Laurie, David and Sharon Winter, Yvonne Pethullis and Stephen Carvill.

Most venues will be open 10am to 4pm, unless otherwise stated, although visitors are advised to check with individual artists regarding accessibility and payment options, as not all locations accept card payments.
A free trail map highlights all 20 venues, making it easy for visitors to explore the town and discover the diverse range of artwork on offer.
