The Bridlington team that took part in the Benidorm Bangers vehicle run, along with the rest of the cars participating in the unique event, have jointly raised over £15,000 for The Yorkshire Air Ambulance.
Tara Cummings, manager of D. Dunk Lewis & Graves Estate Agents, along with the rest of team of Mark Cummings, Philip and Joanna Clegg took part in the ‘Run to the Sun’ in May and also raised funds for Benidorm’s Busy Bees charity.
Said Tara: “It was great fun – so much so we have booked for 2023. Our little £150.00 Golf GTI just made it the finish line – the clutch was nearly burnt out and rear bearing had gone – so sadly she was scrapped in Benidorm… for more money than we actually paid.”

Tara added her thanks to the following people and businesses who helped with the charity run: Andy Willoughby of Upright Installations Ltd, Stephen Baylis of RMI Midland, Lee Cummings and Chris Barker, Storage Centre, Northcote Hotel, and Rob Scott with Keiron Hardwick and the back- up crew from the YAA.
Plans are already in place for the 2023 ‘Run to the Sun’ starting on Tuesday 2 May.
