The Mayor of Bridlington will be hosting a Cyclethon to raise money for his nominated charities and also the children’s cancer charity Candlelighters.
Cllr Mike Heslop-Mullens is organising a ‘Way of the Roses’ 170 mile cycle marathon on Saturday 3 September.
The 170 miles is the distance from Morecambe to Bridlington which makes up the Way of the Roses cycle route.
Richies Cafe will be hosting the event, which will see volunteers cycling various distances on a static bike from 9am until the total miles are completed.
Anyone who fancies doing a mile or two is welcome to come along on the day at Richie’s Cafe on South Marine Drive promenade.
