Two Bridlington residents and fundraisers have been featured on the well known football podcast ‘The Overlap.’
Cory Walkington and Ryan Wilson were invited on behalf of Movember to the THG studios in Manchester to film ‘The Overlap – Football Heroes’ special in association with Gillette and Movember.
Said: Ryan: “The episode features a very moving discussion around mental health in sport as well as Aaron Lennon bravely sharing his own personal experience with his mental health. Towards the end of the video is a cameo from Cory and I where we shave in front of Carragher and Wrighty as we discuss all things Movember.
“We were both honoured to have been asked to represent Movember on such a huge platform, it was an incredible experience working with the amazing production team as well as meeting footballing legends who we have grown up idolising, who all did their upmost to make us feel comfortable and confident.
“The feedback we’ve received from the video has been immense and we’re very grateful for all the messages of positivity!”
“We also managed to secure ourselves a signed 2024 England shirt, with scribbles from 4 legends of the 3 lions, Aaron Lennon, Ian Wright, Jamie Carragher and Shaun Wright-Phillips, we’re asking for donations of £5 to either mine or Cory’s MoSpace to enter the raffle, which will be drawn on the teams Instagram on Dec 1st.”

This year the fundraisers are going in to their fifth charity campaign as a team they have more challenges, events and ideas than ever.
Added Ryan: “We’re in for yet another amazing campaign for Movember raising money for Men’s Health, Suicide Prevention, Prostate and Testicular Cancer.”
