The Old Town of Bridlington will be showcasing its traditional Christmas events this year on Sunday 1st December.

After the success of the Vintage Festival in the summer, organisers ROBOT (Regeneration of Bridlington Old Town) – will be joining forces with Destination Old Town (DOT) to create a traditional Christmas Fayre and delightful Lantern Parade.

Visitors to the Christmas Fayre will see businesses recreate the scenes of yesteryear with traditional costume and ‘olde worlde charm’ along with quirky and unique stalls within businesses up and down the street.
The Bridlington Priory will also be hosting an Advent Fair in
the historic building on the day.
Stalls are set to open for trading at 10am and the Lantern Parade will assemble at the Black Lion and set off at approx 4.30pm. The event will start winding down at around 5.30pm.

Chris Daniels, Chair of ROBOT explained:“We are really excited this year to be working alongside Destination Old Town to bring you the Old Town Christmas Fayre.

“There’s going to be loads of goodies for sale across a big variety of stalls as well as the usual street entertainment and food outlets.
“Every year there’s a fabulous community feel and family atmosphere so we’re really looking forward to inviting everyone back again this year.

“This year’s event will be crowned with the ever popular Lantern Walk, which has been well attended each year with amazing lanterns made by local people in workshops leading up to the event.” added Chris.
