Bridlington is gearing up for a weekend of festive fun as the volunteers Bridlington Round Table prepares to kick off the Christmas season with a packed programme of family-friendly events.
The celebrations begin on Saturday, 15 November, with the start of the Ice Trail Weekend in the town’s King Street Market area, outside the old NatWest building. Visitors can meet Santa Claus in his magical grotto, complete with his trusty elves and members of the Round Table.
Entry to the grotto is just £4 per child, which includes a meet and greet with Santa, a present and a photo opportunity. All proceeds will go directly back into supporting the Bridlington community.
Throughout the weekend, visitors can also enjoy stunning ice sculptures, festive stalls and seasonal activities suitable for all ages.
The highlight of Saturday evening will be Santa’s grand arrival on his sleigh at the top of King Street, marking the official launch of Christmas in Bridlington. Organisers are promising a celebration “bigger, brighter, and bursting with festive fun” — complete with music, dancing, and plenty of Christmas cheer.
The festivities continue on Sunday, 16 November, when Santa returns to his grotto before heading to an exclusive ‘Dinner with Santa’ event at The Bridlington Spa.
For £15 per child, youngsters can enjoy a festive food box, a special gift, and a magical meet and greet with Father Christmas in a private setting. Tickets are limited and expected to sell out quickly.
Tickets can be booked via the Bridlington Spa website: bridspa.com/event-details/?entry=00-dws25#buy-tickets.
Said James Barker from Bridlington Round Table: “We can’t wait to see the community come together and kick off the festive season the right way,” said a spokesperson for the Round Table. “It’s all about bringing people together, spreading joy, and supporting local causes.”
