A missing woman has been located after police put out an appeal to find Christine who had been missing since 7.pm this evening (December 29).

Christine’s daughter Alison messaged the Echo and said: “Thank you all for sharing, she is my mum and is very confused with having Alzheimer’s- she has apparently just been found near the hospital and is on her way home. Thank you all.”

Christine had been missing from the Bempton Lane area of Bridlington, since 7.pm this evening.

She was spotted by Bridlington resident, Madison, and her two friends who were driving on the road known as the Well Lane bypass and noticed a lady who fitted Christine’s description.

They had earlier been alerted to the plight of Christine by the social media posts from the Bridlington Echo.

A police aeroplane had been circling the north area of Bridlington for almost an hour, and officers were conducting door-to-door enquiries around the Bempton Lane area in an attempt to locate missing Christine.
