Bridlington RU’s Yorkshire One match against Pontefract on Saturday was abandoned.
It came after a home player suffered a serious injury in the opening 15 minutes, which required an ambulance to be called.
The unnamed player is recovering but a club spokesman said he would be out of action for some time.
Bridlington were leading 8-0 at the time of the stoppage but the match will need to be replayed.
“We are working on a new date for this fixture, which has to be on or before this Saturday at 3pm,” added the spokesman.
Bridlington Mariners’ scheduled Yorkshire Merit Table fixture at Withernsea was called off because the visitors were unable to raise a side.
