A Bridlington businessman has ‘pawsed for thought’ and organised a Christmas Party with a difference this year…

Guests must have four legs, be furry and have a wet nose and wagging tails – and they are only allowed to bring humans along if they behave and clean up after themselves – as Santa Paws comes to town.

Richard Preston, who owns Richie’s Cafe Bar on the South Promenade, has hosted several ‘doggy freedom days’ where dog owners celebrate with their four legged friends full access to the beach – which is closed to dogs from May to October.

This year, as well as hosting festive parties for humans, the cafe has unleashed a pawsome ‘Merry Woofmas’ event to celebrate Dogmas.

Dogs will be having a their very own ball on 21st December, between 10 and 12noon , and humans are able to purchase a hot drink and bacon roll for just £2.95, with proceeds going to the Make-a-Wish Foundation.

Said Richard: “Dogs will also be able to have a sausage treat and wish Merry Christmutts to their two legged human friends.”
