Keedy and his owner re-united.
Keith Fetches travelled over 300 miles to be re-united with Keedy his pet springer spaniel that had been stolen in February.
In an emotional re-union, Keedy was handed back to his rightful owner Keith, much to the delight of the family and the thousands of members of the public who had been following the story over the last three months.
A family, which had innocently bough Keedy, had taken the dog for a check up to Bourne Vetinary Practice in Canterbury, Kent.
After routinely scanning Keedy for a chip, they discovered he was registered to the Fetches family over 300 miles away near Bridlington.
The vets checked on the national database for missing dogs and soon realised that the springer was stolen.
After receiving the wonderful news that the pet springer had been discovered, Keith took the seven hour journey south to reunite with his beloved dog.
Vetinary nurses at the Bourne practice in Canterbury Lauren and Nicole brought Keedy out and he just very quietly came over to Keith and sat at his feet.
“Keedy had settled straightaway at his master’s feet resting his head on them. Then he was quite interested in the tea and biscuits we’d given Keith and his friend who drove him down.” Said Isobel from the practice.
Back in February , thieves stole three pet springer spaniels from the Fetches farm near Burton Agnes.
Within days two of the dogs, Robbie and Jazz were found over 80 miles away in Lancashire.
But sadly Keedy still remained missing and the several further appeals were put out by the police and the desperate family to find their beloved pet.
Finally, after three months of waiting, Keedy has been reunited with his grateful owners.
