Sheffield FC 1 v 2 Bridlington Town
Good fortune has favoured Bridlington Town for their second away match on the bounce as they held on for a 2-1 victory against Sheffield FC.

The Seasiders took the trip into South Yorkshire to the world’s first football club, hoping to improve on their 2-1 defeat at home against Consett AFC last Saturday.
An early goal from Danny Earl saw jubilant celebrations on the eighth minute.

This was one of the highlights of a much improved first half, with plenty of promise from the Seasiders who were playing with much more coherence and teamwork.

A second half goal slotted sweetly home by Michael Coulson on 79th minutes saw the reds double their score, but Sheffield were making life very difficult for the Bridlington defence.
On 86 minutes Rory Coulson hit home a penalty for Sheffield, testing the nerves of the Town squad as well as the hardcore band of supporters who had made the trip from Brid and beyond.

The Seasiders managed to hold on to get a vital three points. This enabled them to jump several place up the league table and well and truly out of the dreaded relegation zone.
