Mr Woolley, Deputy Head praised the cohort’s dedication, saying the results were “A celebration of our students’ hard work, determination and resilience.

These results reflect not only their academic achievements, but the personal growth they have shown throughout their time with us. We are incredibly proud of every student and wish them every success as they take their next steps.”

Among the standout performers were Theo Holden and Chloe Garbutt who both achieved eight GCSEs at Grades 7-9 and were “top of the class” for our 2026 cohort.

Head of School, Mrs Stamford added: “Today is a very special and emotional day for our students, and we could not be prouder of them. Their GCSE results are a reflection not only of their hard work, but of the resilience, courage and determination they have shown throughout their journey with us here at Headlands School.

There have been challenges along the way, but our students have continued to support one another, keep going and believe in themselves. That resilience is something that they will carry with them long after today, and in many ways it is their greatest achievement.

As a school, we are incredibly proud of every young person. Whatever their results, they should take a moment to recognise how far they have come. They have grown into remarkable young people, and we are excited to see where their next chapter takes them.”
