There is a fine chance for Bridlington Town to put some distance between themselves and the bottom of the Northern Premier League East Division One table this week.
Brett Agnew’s team are on a good run of form with two wins in their last three games and an FA Trophy penalty shoot-out win over Sheffield last Saturday.
The Seasiders travel to struggling Tadcaster Albion tomorrow, 3pm, before welcoming Frickley Athletic to the Neil Hudgell Law Stadium on Tuesday in a re-arranged match. The South Elmsall side made a good start to the season but have won just one of their last five league matches and have fallen down the table.
Consecutive home victories have taken Town out of the relegation places and they have a chance to put more daylight between them and bottom club Tadcaster tomorrow.
However, it will need Town to reproduce their recent home form as they are yet to pick up a point on their travels.
The Brewers have lost their last five fixtures, including last week’s 5-1 FA Trophy loss at home to Northern Premier League West Division side Runcorn Linnets.
Town management duo Agnew and assistant Joe Lamplough will be hoping that some of the injuries that depleted the squad against Sheffield will have cleared up sufficiently.
The Tadcaster squad is likely to include Fraser Papprill who started the season in Town’s colours.
