The Flamborough Bird Observatory (FBO), along with colleagues at Yorkshire Wildlife Trust, RSPB Bempton and Filey Bird Observatory will commence their biggest yearly event today.
Tony Hood, from the FBO, said: “Ringing and migration week is an 8-day event that is completely free and open to all, showcasing aspects of bird migration including ringing demonstrations, guided walks and free online talks.
The event runs from the 9th to the 16th of October
“We are also raising funds for St Catherine’s Hospice in memory of Pete Dunn.
Pete was the former chair and lead ringer at Filey Bird Observatory as well as renowned wildlife guide and staunch Yorkshire bird watcher.” added Tony.
