Christmas has been made extra special for thousands of Bridlington residents as Bridlington Round Table has once again travelled around the streets with their fabulous Santa’s Sleigh.

Over nine nights this December, volunteers from ’Operation Santa Claus’ raised a wonderful total of £6760, which will all be used to support local good causes.
Sam Berridge from Round Table explained: “Santa and his many volunteer helpers would like to thank all the people…young and old…for coming out onto the streets waving, cheering and donating to our Charity.

Despite some of the most inclement weather of recent years, Santa and his faithful helpers stuck to the task.
Added Sam: “All of the of the monies raised go straight back into the Bridlington community supporting those in need. It gives people a chance and saves them from the worst times of their life, brings families together, helps cure illness and enables those to succeed who otherwise may not have had that opportunity.”

The group also travelled to Beeford once again after hearing that the villagers desperately wanted to see the brightly lit Sleigh for another year.
This year, businesses have kindly sponsored individual Sleigh routes, they are; Angela Bare, Pack Horse (Old Town), Coast to Coast Sprayers, White Swan (Hunmanby), Settles Tyres & Auto Centre & Jolly Jumpers, Dixons & Associates (Architects), Emma Addison (Photography), KRP Carpets and Specsavers.
